My #hashtag - What's yours?

We are a christian family and since October '09 we have been going to Bayside.
Nossa Igreja - Bayside Community Church
This weekend the preaching was about social networking and what should be our hashtag (twitter)...{this is what we learn at church}...
Well, not exactly!
Pastor Justin shared with us the story of John the Baptist and how he set his trends spread the good news, advertised talked about Jesus, and left a legacy.

It got me thinking... Do I do enough as a Christian? How many lives have I actually made a difference in? and What has been my hashtag lately?
Here is my answer: GOD does not care "how many" or "how much" but He does care to know that I actually tried, that I actually DID something...I am not just living my life, I'm sharing the best of it with all of you!

Do for ONE what you wish you could do for EVERYONE!
Faça a UM o que gostaria de fazer a TODOS!

- thanks for reading it -

And now something to make you laugh...

Update - Just so you know...

I guess it's time to give you all an update, otherwise you probrably will never come to check my blog again!

For those who don't know me very well, I work at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, as a MST. I have been working nights (7p-7a) for the past 6 months.

Three of my favorite girls from the night shift(aka "from the dark side")

I love the staff, the routine, everything! But with Josh starting his rotations soon it will be very difficult to see my husband on a everyday basis so I asked to switch to days...I was scared at first, but now as I get closer and closer I'm getting super excited!

This is what I got with my excitement...a smashed, bloody thumb!

For the past few weeks Josh(my lovely husband) has been extremely stressed out while studying for the boards. He has been pretty much studying ALL DAY LONG, which sometimes makes me feel like a single mother of a teenage boy(his words, not mine).
Last Monday he took the USMLE and this coming Tuesday he will be taking the COMLEX - I just can't wait for the end of it -

We also got to spend some time with Zackary (the perfect little boy that I used to nanny).

We love spending time with him!

I guess, this will be it for now...stay plugged if you are curious to see what's next!

We came a long way, to meet halfway...

Oh gosh, the story is not too long, but I do not like talking about myself... and who does???

Well, my name is Rachel; I’m a Brazilian girl with great dreams and even greater determination of making them real.
I came from a poor background and I’m not ashamed of saying it because it made me who I am today.
One of the biggest examples of a big dream and great determination was when I started day dreaming about coming to America. I was in high school at the time and some friends at school were coming to America to finish high school. I knew I could not afford it, there was no way I ever be able to afford it. That did not stop me. I went on with my life and waited until the right opportunity came and here I am today!

Now it’s time to talk about my husband (love doing that)! His name is Joshua; he is a 3rd year med. student at LECOM in Bradenton, FL. We met in North Carolina, where he was born and raised. Josh had just graduated college at the time and was just starting his preps for Medical School. After applying to several schools (LECOM being one of them) he got accepted and we decided to move to Florida.

So here is the story of two different souls, with completely different backgrounds, finding ourselves in the middle –literary- I never imagined it actually being possible to even come to America and he never imagined himself actually leaving North Carolina.
