Beach Towel Bag - My new creation!

That's right...On my last post I asked what I should make next and since I didn't get lots of ideas I searched around and this is what I came up with.
Beach Towel Bag
(it also comes with a waterproof pouch)

Leave me a comment if you want to purchase one.
I have many colors to choose from!

It was my great aunt's idea and since she passed last summer, it inspired me to make things that she used to make for me.

My hobby

So one of the most random things I do is SEWING!

It all started about 2 years ago, while visiting my family in Brazil.
I got up one morning I told my aunt Dulce (aka Tia) that I was going to make my own dress.
She laughed and said "vestidos são complicados de fazer" (dresses are complicated to make).
I worked hard all morning and took all of my auntie's attention to teach me...

On that same day I called my husband and asked him to buy me a sewing machine cause I could not stop thinking about all the things I could make...He told me that I could only have a machine if I make him a costume.

I went creative and made aprons!

I got a little excited and decided to take a big challenge (I made curtains and pillows)

Not challenged enough, I went crazy...I made a diaper bag, cloth diapers, sleep sacks...

Then a friend asked me to alter her wedding dress...(she is nuts, right?)

I also helped decorating a nursery, I made covers for the glider chair, bumper, sheets (with Marissa's help) and a couple of other things.
I have made several dresses and shirts, altered pants, made blankets, table cloths, and much more...

Now I need your help to decide what to make next!

Our visit to the Carolinas

Last Wednesday we packed the car and drove all the way to North Carolina.
On the way we stopped in South Carolina to visit a very special couple.
Peter and Sindy

We enjoyed some BBQ as well as "all you can eat sushi".
We always have fun together! No matter the season, no matter the weather!

We also got to visit with my first American family!
Caeli and Brigid
 Maureen, Caeli, and Brigid

And finally, after almost 2 days on the road we arrived in Raleigh...
Downtown - Raleigh, NC

On Friday, we spent the whole day on the boat at Kerr Lake...

David (aka dad), Marie (aka mom), Josh, me, and Paul

oh... And Zoey too!

On Saturday we went to visit grandma
Sue (aka mama)

At night we went to Josh's 10 year high school reunion.
Jeremy and Lindsay

We had an awesome time and we wish we could stay longer...
